ADDRESSING THE FINANCIAL GAPS
Any program of community economic development (CED) requires regularly accessible capital. Yet capital for CED projects is rarely easy to mobilize. Under this topic the tools are presented both for building new sources of capital and for accessing existing ones. Beyond the scope of this publication are the many and varied government programs, including specific tax incentives, to which community groups can turn. Some relevant tax incentives are dealt with tangentially under such entries as Worker Buy-Out and Community Equity Investment Fund.

To view the selected document in Reader prior to download, use your LEFT mouse button to click the "download" option. Then use the Acrobat Reader taskbar (with a red symbol at one end) - not your browser's taskbar - to print or save the document to a location of your choice. When one download is complete, use your browser's BACK button to return to this page and make another selection. If you save the files to your hard drive, you may open them again later in Reader.
